Rambling on

I guess I can be giddy because I'm a school boy again. Last week I started a British History class at Texas Wesleyan. Monday will begin another class called Foundations of Education. The Textbook for that class is really catchy "Foundations of Education." Brilliant thinking there. These are the last two years of my degree then I will be certifiable - er, I mean certified to teach in Texas. Lifelong dream [actually I think God is exacting a little justice as I was little terror in school. I know those of who know me can hardly believe that. I felt as if I should be on a first name basis with my principal. I am also looking forward to looking at things differently - new glasses are in the works. Have a great and blessed Sunday. Next week we'll be joining the Packers and the Cowboys as they watch the Superbowl.

Last post of the year?

God is good - all the time! What a year - so much has happened both good and bad but we are still kicking and moving on! This Christmas Eve I had the opportunity to step in and help our church family celebrate in worship - including serving communion. How could I be counted as worthy? I also was privileged to celebrate with all my family here in Ft Worth. This year was not focused in trying to guess my gifts - but in making others happy by my small tokens of love. I am continually being blessed as I ponder God's presence in my life [Emmanuel - God with us]. Today, I thought about the shortest verse in the Bible "Jesus wept". Possibly nothing shows his humanity more than this. Not a weakness of character but an expression of total compassion. He identifies with us as one of us. I am praying for a bleesed New Year for myself and each of you as we continue on this journey.

Shifting Gears

That is what I am doing right now is shifting gears. Last Monday I made the decision to drop classes from LeTourneau University. I am now in the process of applying to Texas Wesleyan where I will complete my Bachelor's degree.

Last week was my first week back with the students in computer labs. I am shifting gears with a new format of lessons. Our campus has added some teachers to two grade levels which packs my schedule on Wednesday and Thursday pretty full. I have also taken on the resonsibility of Computer Liaison for our campus. That means that I am not only responsible for the computers in three labs - approx 75. I am also responsible for the tacher computers. I do what I can to correct any problems and refer the rest to our Technology Dept. I am loving it though- who would have ever figured?

Congrats to Matt for his first week of school. Kudos to Savannah in first Grade. And, yippee to Suzie and Noah for holding it together.

What is over is just beginning

Yesterday  came  some foo-foo crying but not from me. Kory and Holly are married. What joy was on their faces as they commiteed themselves to each other and to God. Everyone came and to took their place and their part in this celebration. When all was said and done, and the last light ws turned out and the door to the church was locked, I realized that although the eremony was over, a new journey ws just beginning. God please bless that journey!

Thank you to everyone who took part in yesterday's festivities.
